Winans Center for Wellness
The Amy E. Winans Center for Wellness at Susquehanna University offers comprehensive wellness and personal growth programs, with a focus on helping first-year students navigate the transition to college life. By introducing mindfulness techniques and stress management tools in classes, the center equips students with the skills they need to manage anxiety and thrive academically and personally.
Named in honor of Amy E. Winans, a beloved English professor, the center continues her legacy of caring for student well-being. Amy was instrumental in bringing mindfulness to campus, a practice that now benefits students as they adjust to the demands of university life.
In addition to its wellness initiatives, the center provides mini-grants to student organizations for wellness-focused programs, helping to foster a healthy and supportive campus environment. Made possible through the generous contributions of Roger and Della Winans, the Amy E. Winans Center for Wellness is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of students, faculty and staff at Susquehanna University.
